VISION, the title for the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa’s 2016 Bachelor of Fine Arts exhibition, speaks to an artist’s ability to imagine the potential of raw materials.
The front design of the invitation focuses on the artist’s hands during the early stages of their process. The colors selected for this piece, magenta and royal blue, were used graphically in three circles representing spectral wavelengths and the idea of combining lights from different parts of the spectrum to create a third color. This reflects the way artists are able to produce something out of inspiration, creativity, and different media.
The final designs were printed with soft touch coating as well as pearl and black foiling for the lettering.
